Refund And Returns Policy

At DTF Bay, most of our products are custom-made and produced specifically for each customer order. Please review the policy below before placing your order.

1. Custom Orders / No Cancellation After Production

All custom printed products—including DTF transfers, UV DTF transfers, gang sheets, custom apparel, and personalized items—are made to order using the artwork and options selected by the customer.

Because custom products are created specifically for each order, orders cannot be canceled, changed, refunded, or returned once any of the following has occurred:

  • Production has started

  • The item has been printed

  • The order has been marked as ready

  • A pickup notification has been sent

  • A shipping label has been created or the order has shipped

2. Customer Artwork Responsibility

We print using the exact files, artwork, text, colors, and sizing submitted by the customer. Customers are responsible for reviewing all uploaded files and order details before checkout.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Image resolution / DPI quality

  • Spelling and grammar

  • Selected dimensions/sizing

  • Transparency / background issues

  • Color variations from screen to print

  • Design placement or layout selected by the customer

Issues caused by customer-submitted artwork or selections are not eligible for a refund, free reprint, or chargeback claim.

3. Low-Quality Files

Low-resolution, blurry, pixelated, compressed, or poor-quality images will directly affect print results. DTF Bay is not responsible for print quality issues caused by customer-provided files.

4. Pickup Orders

Orders selected for local pickup must be inspected at the time of pickup. Any visible issue, shortage, or concern must be reported immediately before leaving or within 24 hours of the pickup notification.

5. Shipping Orders / Damage Claims

If your order arrives damaged or there is a production defect caused by us, you must contact us within 3 calendar days of delivery and provide clear photos of:

  • The affected product

  • The packaging/box

  • The shipping label

Claims submitted after this 3-day timeframe may be denied.

6. Non-Returnable Items

  • All custom-made or personalized products

  • Printed transfers and gang sheets

  • Used or washed items

  • Heat-pressed / applied transfers

  • Items returned without prior approval

  • Items returned outside the allowed timeframe

7. Approved Resolutions

If a verified technical or production issue is approved by our team, we may choose one of the following resolutions at our sole discretion:

  • Reprint

  • Store credit

  • Partial refund

  • Full refund

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

By placing an order, the customer agrees to this policy and acknowledges that custom products are manufactured specifically for their request. Filing a payment dispute (chargeback) for a correctly produced custom order, a customer-submitted file issue, or an order canceled after production has begun will be challenged with order records, timestamps, production logs, pickup/shipping notifications, and communication history.

9. Shipping Delays

We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, holidays, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, or any events outside our direct control.

Have any questions?

Not Sure How DTF Printing Works Or How To Press Your Design? Don't Worry—We've Got Answers For You!

Q1. What is DTF printing and how does it work?

A: DTF (Direct to Film) is a method where designs are printed onto film, powdered, and heat-pressed onto garments.

Q2. What are the benefits of DTF printing?

A: It supports full-color designs, works on cotton and polyester, and is ideal for small batches.

Q3. Is DTF printing durable?

A: Yes, with proper application, DTF prints are stretch-resistant and long-lasting even after multiple washes.

Q4. What materials can DTF be applied to?

A: Cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more—as long as they can withstand heat.

Q5. Do you print custom designs or only pre-made ones?

A: We print custom designs that you upload. You can also choose from our template collection if available.

Q1. What file format should I upload?

A: High-resolution PNG (300 DPI) with transparent background is best. We also accept SVG and PSD.

Q2. Can I upload a design with a background?

A: You can, but for best results, remove the background or request our team to do it.

Q3. Is there a minimum size for my design?

A: Yes, your design should be at least 1000px on its shortest side for print clarity.

Q4. Do you check my file before printing?

A: We do a basic quality check. If there's an issue, we'll contact you before printing.

Q5. Do you offer help with resizing or editing files?

A: Yes, we provide optional design editing services for a small fee.

Q1. How long does production take?

A: Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

Q2. Can I place a rush order?

A: Yes, expedited production and shipping are available at checkout.

Q3. Do you accept bulk or wholesale orders?

A: Definitely! Contact us for special pricing on bulk or reseller orders.

Q4. Can I reorder the same design later?

A: Yes, we keep your designs on file for easy reorders (up to 60 days).

Q1. What temperature and time should I use?

A: Recommended: 310°F (155°C), press for 10 seconds, instant peel (cold or hot).

Q2. Should I peel hot or cold?

A: Most DTF transfers are cold peel—wait 15–20 seconds before removing the film.

Q3. Can I wash the garment immediately after pressing?

A: Wait at least 24 hours before washing to ensure strong adhesion.

Q4. What pressure level is ideal?

A: Medium to firm pressure ensures the best transfer result.

Q5. My print is peeling off. What went wrong?

A: Check your heat press temperature, pressure, and peel timing. Repressing may help.
